No Other Gods: Confronting Our Modern-Day Idols (by Kelly Minter) led by Jaye Soss.
Is God REALLY the God of your life? If you are trying to answer that question, then join us for this study. In this eight-session Bible study, Kelly encourages women to make room for God by dethroning the functional gods that clutter and claim their lives. This “living room” style of study is a fun opportunity for women to come together in our favorite format - chatting over delicious snacks - while we continue to explore where we sit in God’s story (and also try out new recipes each week).
Inductive Studies of Titus & Hosea - Precept Upon Precept (by Kay Arthur) led by Amy Gallagher
Get a taste of God’s Word and learn how to study it for yourself. We will learn an easy but in-depth way to study God’s Word by studying both an Old and a New Testament book.
Lord, I Want to Know You (by Kay Arthur) The Names of God led by Geri Fieno
Ever notice how many names there are for God in the Bible? He is our Creator, Healer, Protector, Provider, Shepherd, and so much more. We know he is all those things, but do we really KNOW how to call on His name depending on the circumstances of our lives? The more we know God’s character by studying His names, the nearer we grow to him, the more we are able to see His hand working in the midst of our circumstances, and the more confidence we have to walk in the truth of His promises. Using Kay Arthur’s book, Lord, I Want to Know You, we will study the names of God together to gain a deeper understanding of God’s character. This study will require some reading and homework a few times a week.
Thursday mornings from 9:15-11:15am beginning September 16
Childcare on Thursday mornings is free for those who choose to spend one week in the nursery. If you rather not use a week of your study to serve with the children, the cost is $50 per semester for up to two children and $65 for three or more.
Love and War - Finding the Marriage You’ve Dreamed Of (by John & Stasi Eldredge) led by Stefanie Finegan

Come and discover with us what God intended when He gave us the gift of marriage and what some of the obstacles are to a deep, lasting love story. In their book, Love & War, the Eldredges deal openly and honestly with the difficulties of marriage, and offer encouragement and hope for all couples at any stage in life. In their words, “It can be done. And, it is worth it.”
Shepherding a Child’s Heart (by Ted Tripp) led by Kristen Wideman
This book is about how to speak to the heart of your child. The things your child does and says flows from the heart. Written for parents with children of any age, this insightful book provides perspectives and procedures for shepherding your child’s heart into the paths of life. We will go through the first half the book about Foundations for Biblical Childrearing. A Chapter or two a week, probably 5-10 pages of reading with some questions.
The Book of Revelation led by Krista Roes
The first five words of Revelation are “The revelation of Jesus Christ,” and in this powerful last book of the Bible we see glorious glimpses of Jesus now, and how He will appear through eternity. We will find ourselves worshiping Jesus as the Lion and the Lamb over and over again. Ultimately that is what this book is about: Worship! Join us as we open this amazing book and allow God to whisper his grace and power to us through the ages. Homework would be reading the chapters we will be covering ahead of time. Less than 1 hour per week.
Lord, Teach Me to Study the Bible and Lord, Teach Me to Pray (by Kay Arthur) led by Corinne Kologe and Karen Murdock
In Lord, Teach Me to Study the Bible well–known Bible teacher Kay Arthur leads readers into the fascinating world of inductive Bible study where God Himself becomes the teacher (Psalm 119:102). This is a very practical, hands–on, learn–by–doing book. In just 28 days learn how to:
- study the Bible book by book and understand what you are reading
- recognize key words and concepts in the Bible
- discover the main point of any passage of Scripture
- discern God’s purpose and apply life–changing truths to everyday life
In Lord, Teach Me to Pray Arthur sheds light on the instructions Jesus gave to His disciples for the perfect pattern of meaningful prayer and demonstrates how the Lord’s Prayer covers worship, praise, intercession, and petition and ushers an individual into the presence of God. This look at biblical prayer is refreshingly simple and exceedingly powerful—and it can transform the way anyone lives and prays.
